Functional Lead - Disposition – Mooresville, IN
Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (KellyOCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Functional Lead – Disposition at one of our Global clients in Mooresville, IN.  This role is a full-time, fully benefited position.

Location: Mooresville (46158)
Pay: open – based on experience; plus benefits and PTO
Hours: M-F 8 hour day shift
Duration: long term contract
Position Summary: Reports to Sr. Distribution Operations Analyst. Performs a variety of duties to receive, distribute, assemble and store finished goods into sales warehouse or customer locations as directed. Will also perform material receipt, disbursement and related activities as directed.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Performs general warehousing activities, not limited to pick, pack, ship, cycle count, and inventory transactions. Oversee supplies and labor resources effectively. Train, execute, and benchmark processes for team members. Oversee employee reporting, lead project communication, and work cross functionally with other stakeholders. 
  • Fills requisitions for goods and materials.
  • Run reports daily. 
  • Maintains, and verifies accounting records for supplies received and dispensed. Shipping supplies.
  • Operates miscellaneous material handling equipment (not powered vehicles)
 
Operational:
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the applicable areas of the Distribution Center
  • Ensure that both, functional lead and team, operate within company safety & quality guidelines and adhere to all safety & quality procedures.
  • Maintain departmental GMP and Safety requirements to ensure operator compliance.
  • Assist during audits, as appropriate. Support the resolution of non-conformities, product complaints and both Internal and external Audits.
  • Maintain department training matrix demonstrating current training adherence.
  • Offer feedback/support in the identification of training needs/opportunities.
  • In collaboration with area trainer (if applicable), assess area for material handlers technical performance; coordinate material handlers training on procedures.
  • Provide training as necessary.
  • Coordinate the delivery and availability of all distribution operations materials
  • Assist in modifying procedures to improve the operations or processes. Identify quality, safety & sustainable good saves & provide support in their resolution.
Strategic:
  • Strive to continuously improve the overall operation through project, education and training.
  • Support distribution on new product launch and LEAN process improvement teams.
Leadership:
  • Coordinate and lead day-to-day activities in the production distribution areas as necessary, in alignment with immediate or direct supervision.
  • Responsible for delivering expected outcome and is responsible for communicating business outputs daily
  • Monitor assigned area and reallocate resources as necessary to meet schedule requirements within the department.
  • Collaborate with Operations team on all performance and associate issues, coordinating priorities with their team and leadership team.
  • Conduct daily/semi-regular performance related discussions with the team
Other:
  • Ensure equipment is in proper calibration and working condition.
  • Work in warehouse environment where temperatures may vary.
  • WMS knowledge; able to research, root cause, and drive problem solving independently. 
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate communication to associates. Create a Credo based environment within Distribution Operation.
  • Ensure correct policies and guidelines are followed to maintain compliance with all regulatory and corporate policies (Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards, etc.). Maintain a safe environment anticipating and solving emerging situations.

Requirements:
Education:
  • High School or equivalent
  • Associates degree preferred
Related Experience:
  • 3 years plus supervisory experience in a distribution/warehouse environment
Additional knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required:
  • Must be able to handle multi-tasks and perform under pressure. Above average math skills.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in all processing-related jobs.
  • Demonstrate experience and ability to influence teammates within other departments is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, collaboration skills ¿ team member, ability to contribute positively to the morale of the team are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under time constraints and manage complexity is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts in a constructive way by addressing the needs of all parties, eventually bringing about a conclusive outcome is required.
  • Demonstrated PC skills, and Microsoft Office proficiency experience is required.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management is required. BlueYonder or SAP software experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk 90% of the time.  Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. 
  • The employees frequently required light lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally required a moderate lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
