Job Title: Insulator – General Labor
Job Location: Canastota, NY
Hours: 1st shift, M-Thursday 6am-4:30
Rate of Pay: $17-18 DOE
Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and motivated Insulators to join our team. This role involves working with various insulation materials and tools to assist in the manufacturing and assembly of piping systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately use and read a tape measure to ensure correct measurements.
- Operate and work safely around forklifts and other lifting equipment.
- Proficiently use hand tools such as hand saws, box cutters, handheld extrusion welders, etc.
- Learn and understand different types of insulation and their specific uses in manufacturing various piping systems.
- Assist in the field assembly of joints and fittings for shipment, ensuring all necessary materials are included.
- Ability to accurately measure and read a tape measure.
- Experience or willingness to work with forklifts and lifting equipment.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and working with various materials.
- Ability to learn and retain information about insulation types and their applications.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions.
- Ability to work in varied physical conditions, including bending, standing, and lifting.
- Willingness to work in potentially noisy or dusty environments.
