Head of Finance / Senior Controller
Location: Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON (On-site)
Competitive compensation: ($130K–$175K) + bonus, with full health benefits
Kelly's customer is looking for a permanent Head of Finance to lead a full revitalization of the finance department for a rapidly growing consumer goods organization.

As the Head of Finance/Senior Controller, you will take ownership of the full finance function and lead its transformation. You will build a high-performing team, optimize systems and processes, improve reporting accuracy, and strengthen financial governance. You will also play a strategic role in guiding decision-making across the organization.
This is not a maintenance role, this is a fix, rebuild, and elevate mandate.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Leadership & Transformation
- Rebuild and modernize the finance function, including team structure, processes, and controls.
- Provide strategic financial insight to the CEO and executive team.
- Driving automation, technology adoption, and best practices across finance.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end reporting.
Financial Operations & Controls
- Strengthening internal controls, governance structures, and compliance frameworks.
- Enhance reporting, forecasting, treasury management, costing, and budgeting.
- Redesign financial reporting packages and introduce new dashboards and KPIs.
- Ensure full alignment between finance and operational teams.
Systems Optimization
- Optimize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Improve integrations, workflows, and reporting logic.
- Lead the use of Power BI for dashboards and executive reporting.
Revenue & Costing Oversight
- Support multi-channel revenue operations, including Amazon, big-box retail, and DTC.
- Over see SKU- level costing and landed costs, marketplace fees, 3PL-related costing models.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a finance team that includes Accounting, Costing, Revenue Operations, and Pricing.
- Build team performance through mentorship, accountability, and clear processes.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and cross-functional partnership.
REQUIREMENTS:
- CPA required
- 8–15 years of progressive finance leadership experience
- Strong background in consumer goods or product-based industries
- Deep experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power BI
- Proven ability to lead transformation and rebuild finance functions
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing multi-channel revenue models and complex costing structures
- High technical competence and comfort with systems
