Human Resources Administrator

Location: Glastonbury, CT 06033
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Type: Temp-to-perm
Pay Rate: $21–$24/hour

A dynamic and growing consulting firm is seeking a Human Resources Administrator to support both internal operations and a range of client organizations. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, hybrid environment with a collaborative and mission-driven HR team. Position Overview:
The Human Resources Administrator plays a key role within the HR department, handling essential responsibilities such as benefits administration (including LOA and FMLA), onboarding/offboarding coordination, and training support. This position requires the ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain a high degree of confidentiality while supporting various HR functions for both the internal team and external clients. Key Responsibilities:
The HR Administrator will support HR operations across multiple organizations and have the following responsibilities:

  • Perform HR compliance audits and assist with remediation efforts
  • Coordinate and track employee training and development initiatives
  • Support HR projects including system implementations, policy updates, and performance management/salary review cycles
  • Manage 401(k) and benefits administration, including eligibility tracking and documentation
  • Coordinate the pre-employment process: background checks, pre-hire paperwork, and I-9 verification
  • Conduct and streamline onboarding processes for new hires across client organizations
  • Coordinate offboarding procedures, including communication of COBRA benefits
  • Maintain HRIS systems and manage personnel records, ensuring data accuracy
  • Perform regular reconciliations and audits for benefits and employee files
  • Generate reports from HR systems and analyze HR metrics for stakeholders
  • Respond to benefit-related inquiries and ensure timely communication
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 3–5 years of prior HR experience, with a focus on benefits administration
  • Strong knowledge of HR regulations and compliance standards
  • Experience managing pre-hire documentation, onboarding, and benefit processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with HRIS systems; iSolved preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Professional demeanor and ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently while proactively seeking guidance as needed
  • Must handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
