How Hiring: HR Generalist in Honolulu
Location: Central Pacific Plaza, 220 South King St., 8th Floor/Suite #870
Status: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, in-office
Pay Rate: $22 - 25.80, commensurate with experience
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 months; actual length dependent on business need

Primary Accountabilities:

Employee Benefits Management: Administer and maintain all health and welfare plans including enrollments, changes, distributions, and payments. Assist in resolving employee benefit issues and escalate as needed.

Onboarding Coordination: Serve as the point of contact for pre-employment activities. Coordinate with new hires, hiring managers, and internal partners to ensure a smooth onboarding experience. Manage pre-employment checks, finalize start and orientation dates, conduct audits for compliance, and administer the employee referral program.

Wellness and Education Programs: Assist in the design, development, and implementation of employee wellness programs, tracking results, and reporting outcomes. Support the design and delivery of employee education initiatives such as benefits open enrollment, new hire orientation, and self-service training.

HRIS and Data Management: Input personnel changes into the HRIS system with attention to detail for accurate HR processing and data decision-making. Track recruitment data for senior management reporting and continuously enhance dashboards incorporating feedback and trends.

Customer Response: Respond effectively to inquiries by all internal and external customers in a timely manner.

HR Task Support: Perform various HR assignments including process improvement, data research, and analysis. Support other HR areas as necessary.

Compliance and Administration: Assist with Leave Management and NMLS administration as backup, ensuring compliance and facilitating communication. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. File reports and required notices for regulation compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- H.S. Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred
Experience:
- 2+ years of Human Resources experience focusing on Employee Benefits, HRIS, Employee Onboarding/Recruiting, and/or HR Administration required. (A bachelor's degree in human resources or related field may substitute for 2 years of experience is preferred but not required)
Additional Requirements:
- Background and drug tests are required.
- Proof of education (High School Diploma or GED) is mandatory.
