POSITION SUMMARY
The Ink Manufacturer is primarily responsible for operating ink-making machinery and equipment, manufacturing and packaging fluids, and keeping their workstation, equipment and products clean and orderly.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operates ink-making machinery and equipment.
- Pulls, weighs, blends raw materials to make inks (water, solvent, UV/EB, or oil based).
- Reads and interprets batch tickets and adhering to work processes and procedures.
- Processes and completes documentation accurately by recording information on batch tickets, labels containers, packages inks and inspects customer products per requirements.
- Meets production schedules and metrics and ensuring quality products are produced.
- Follows all safety and regulatory compliance procedures.
- Attends all required meetings and training.
- Maintains adherence to “The Kao Way” standards at all times.
- Responsible for continuous improvement according to the Kao Collins culture.
- Inventory control activities.
- Loads and unloads
- Other duties as assigned by production management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Experience and/or Education Requirements:
- Employee must have a high school degree or equivalent.
The Ink Manufacturer must possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude, be meticulous and detail oriented, clean, neat and orderly, honest and trustworthy, and reliable.
- Prior batch-making or compounding experience is preferred.
- Prior experience in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment is preferred.
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
- Operate a Powered Industrial Truck (forklift, pallet jacks, lift trucks, etc). Training to operate industrial trucks is provided by the company
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. May use mathematical formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules or diagrams.
- Sound judgment to make decisions regarding the sequence of setups, operations and processes within the limitations of standard operating.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Specifically, the Ink Manufacturer must be able to:
- Frequently lift 25-50 pounds.
- Roll and maneuver drums of product between 500 to 550 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be certified as medically fit to wear the required safety respirator.
- Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, fumes, and other elements associated with a typical warehouse environment.
Pay: $17.50
