Pay: $18 - $21 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Assignment Length: 8-10 week long assignment with the possibility of extension
What You'll Do:
- Conduct initial screenings to assess mental health needs and determine the appropriate level of care.
- Welcome new children and families by collaborating with the Intake Team.
- Manage client registration processes.
- Handle incoming calls and voicemails, providing timely and courteous responses.
- Communicate with agencies and partners to coordinate referrals.
- Gather sensitive information from families with empathy and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Respond to online requests and manage initial appointment scheduling.
- Share resources with families and perform insurance verification.
- Coordinate with supervisors on case assignments and facilitate interpreter services as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of clinical programs.
- Communicate effectively, escalate issues appropriately, and manage waitlists.
- Collaborate with staff to schedule intake appointments and send client paperwork.
- Maintain a resource notebook and engage with community resources.
- Provide support to Program Support and Front Office teams as needed.
Qualifications:
- Medical scheduling experience is required.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- At least 1-3 years of experience working in an office environment, providing administrative support
- Mental health clinic experience is a plus.
- Experience with Outlook and Sharepoint.
- Strong communication skills are critical.
- Ability to multitask and work as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and managing multiple tasks
- Self-motivated and independent, while able to work with supervisors, staff, and clinicians across the agency
