Description

Employment: Contract – 3 months with a chance of extension 

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7AM start ime (need some flexibility) 

Pay Rate: 18-25 (Depending one exp) 

Summary of responsibilities:  

This role will focus on supporting quality control, inventory accuracy, and compliance processes within the shipping warehouse, ensuring shipments meet required standards and documentation is properly maintained. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Verify roll loading against manifests/loading sheets for each shipment. 

  • Maintain a detailed log comparing load sheets to actual shipments. 

  • Report discrepancies or anomalies directly to the Shipping Manager. 

  • Conduct “No Fail” Checklist Audits on all rail cars and trailers. 

  • Perform data entry, gather shipping documents, and generate reports. 

  • Support cycle counts and load sheet verifications. 

  • Inspect shipments to ensure product quality and proper condition. 

  • Comply with all safety and quality standards, including SQF and PPE requirements. 

Must-haves:  

  • Prior experience in Quality Control within shipping, logistics, or warehousing. 

  • Familiarity with Transportation/Warehouse operations (rail and highway transport). 

  • Strong attention to detail with proven inventory and field accuracy. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database applications. 

  • Ability to work safely in an active warehouse environment around PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks). 

  • Willingness to wear required PPE (safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, ear protection). 

Nice-to-Haves 

  • Previous experience in manufacturing or paper mill environments. 

  • Knowledge of compliance audits or “No Fail” checklist processes. 

  • Prior work with shipping documentation systems or ERP platforms. 

  • Forklift certification or hands-on PIT operation experience.
