Lab Technicians - St. Louis
The goal of this position is to deliver high-quality service and support to internal production areas, including physical testing (Pack/Ship Lab) and rolling lubricant testing (Chemical Lab).
- Supports internal production areas in physical testing (Pack/Ship Lab) and rolling lubricant testing (Chemical Lab) and contributes to continuous improvement projects as assigned.
- Consistently adheres to company safety policies and department procedures.
- Utilizes knowledge, skills, and effective communication to foster teamwork with co-workers.
- Operates laboratory equipment and instruments in the Pack/Ship and Chemical Labs, ensuring high-quality and safe practices.
- Maintains Laboratory Quality System compliance, identifying equipment malfunctions and testing inaccuracies.
- Follows current Work Instructions and Laboratory Quality Procedures for all testing tasks.
- Accurately reports data and results to relevant areas.
- Plans daily activities and seeks assistance from co-workers as needed to complete analyses.
- Performs minor equipment maintenance and records work done or contacts appropriate personnel for repairs.
- Collaborates with Supply Chain, Operations, and Sales departments to ensure timely deliverables.
Requirements:
- Preferred: Two to four-year degree in chemistry or metallurgical discipline. Required: A.S. degree in Science, Business, or Technical field, or equivalent combination of relevant industrial/lab experience and education.
- Skilled in sorting data and understanding document systems to identify and resolve current or potential problems.
- Uses logic and reasoning to analyze procedures and systems, determining cause and effect relationships and seeking help as needed.
Details:
- $25/hr
- Temporary role with the potential for conversion to direct hire
- 4-week Rotating schedule: Mon – Fri 7am – 3pm for 4 weeks; then Mon – Fri 3pm – 11pm for 4 weeks. Some Saturday overtime required.
