Summary Details:
- Laboratory Technician
- Location: Alameda, CA
- Temp-Hire: Part-Time
- 20 hours Mon-Fri (for 3 months then full time)
- Wage: $35/hour DOE
The client is a green nanochemistry company with a mission to eliminate transportation emissions. you will support the development of new cathode processing techniques for Li-ion battery testing.
The Role:
- Running and maintaining processing equipment associated with material production (e.g., kilns, mills, etc.).
- Creating robust documentation (e.g., batch records, SOPs, reports, and preventative maintenance plans).
- Coordinating with researchers to execute and document experimental runs.
- Ability to lift 20-30 pounds daily.
- Familiarity with basic mechanical tools such as wrenches, drills, etc.
- Preparing electrodes for battery cell assembly and supporting electrochemical testing.
- Maintaining clean and well-organized lab areas that meet safety regulations.
- Supporting the commissioning of incoming equipment and creating documentation for equipment/processes with the help of engineers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or higher.
- R&D experience in an industry setting is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and liaise with professionals in different fields.
- Proficiency in MS Office or similar tools.
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to follow health and safety regulations.
