We're seeking an Laboratory Technician to work with one of our top global biopharmaceutical clients in the Barceloneta PR area. With us, it's all about finding the job that's just right.
Job Summary
The position is for a laboratory technical aid for Upstream technical operations. The candidate should have a minimum BS degree in Natural sciences (Biology/biochemistry/industrial biotechnology). They should have knowledge in aseptic techniques for cell culture, understanding of cell culture in bioreactors is a plus, knowledge in safety regulations in a lab environment, understanding of standard operating procedures and good laboratory practices (GLP). They should have skills for teamwork, troubleshooting and scientific critical thinking. Experience in pharmaceutical company is also a plus,
Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
Include the essential duties and/or responsibilities of the position. Each essential function must support the objective of the job.
1. Perform testing following procedures, methods and specifications within the required time frame.
2. Provide support in process validation and optimization
3. Record and organize laboratory data
4. Work with laboratory scale bioreactors including cleaning, assembly and calibration of probes
5. Prepare process solutions such as cell culture media
6. Perform the general cleaning/maintenance of laboratory equipment such as bioreactors, incubators, refrigerators as required per procedures.
7. Maintain the materials, reagents, and media inventory required in the laboratory.
8. Comply with all training certifications as required by position requirements.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Natural sciences (Biology/biochemistry/industrial biotechnology or related field)
Experience
2 years of experience. If have Master Degree 6 months / 1 year experience
Process development
Research/ Investigation Experience at University is a plus
• Mammalian cell culture experience, upstream, Raman, Immunology, biochemistry and molecular biology
Pharmaceutical experience in chemical Lab
