Computer Assembler Job Description:

The Computer Assembler performs various system and component assembly activities

according to Standard Operating Procedures and instructions.

 

 

Responsible for performing various system/component assembly according

to procedure and instructions

Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies,

subassemblies, or frames, using hand tools and power tools

Connect cables, tubes, and wiring, according to specifications

Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly

Read blueprints and specifications to determine component parts and

assembly sequences of electromechanical units

Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet

specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements

Attach identifying information on system parts

Perform precise system parts assembly according to SOP (Standard

Operating Procedures)

 

Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrate ability to work in a self-directed, high energy, fast paced

environment

Manual dexterity for using light power and hand tools

Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

CompTIA or A+ Certifications a plus

Experience

0-2+ years manufacturing assembly experience

Previous computer hardware structure knowledge and hands on experience

a plus

 

Additional Details:

Rack Cable Labeling- sit down repetitive job, light lifting

Rack Assembly- physical job, frequent lifting of 20-25lbs, hand tools, torque driver, power tools

Rack Cabling-light lifting

Assembly Operators- small hands, tiny parts, dexterity

Unboxing/Material Running- material handling up to 25lb lifting

Chassis- repetitive lifting of 35lbs
