Material Handler (cGMP Distribution Environment)
Pay Rate: $20/hr
Location: Louisville, KY
Shift:

Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM and Friday: 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM

The Material Handler supports the receipt, storage, inventory control, and distribution of marketed products within a regulated cGMP biotechnology environment. This role operates within a distribution center setting and is responsible for executing accurate and compliant receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management activities while maintaining strict adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities-
Accurately pick, pack, and stage product in accordance with shipping documentation and SOPs.

Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials in designated warehouse locations.

Operate pallet jacks and powered industrial equipment (forklifts, walkie riders, turret trucks) to move GMP and non-GMP materials safely and efficiently.

Perform cycle counts and physical inventory reconciliations.

Conduct daily safety and functionality inspections of material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts).

Enter and maintain accurate inventory and shipping data within business systems (e.g., SAP).

Create, maintain, and archive records in compliance with corporate document retention policies.

Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready warehouse environment.

Participate in departmental projects, including process documentation, issue investigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Comply with all safety regulations, quality standards, and cGMP requirements.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required:
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
-
5–6 years of warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience, preferably within a regulated industry.

Experience operating powered industrial equipment (forklift certification preferred).

Basic mathematical skills and strong attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems (SAP experience preferred).

Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred:
-
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, or related field.

Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other cGMP-regulated environments.

Ability to lift and move materials weighing 40+ lbs on a regular basis.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.

Ability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, or alternate shifts as business needs require.

Consistent use of required PPE and adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
