Now Hiring: Machine Assembler – Sub Assembly
Location: Farmington, CT
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Overtime possible)
Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
Job Type: Long Term Contract Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Machine Assembler – Sub Assembly to join our team. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in machine tool assembly or manufacturing. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex sub-assembly tasks with precision and quality. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex mechanical assemblies using hand and power tools
- Accurately measure components using inch and metric systems
- Work from detailed blueprints, part lists, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues
- Contribute to process improvements to boost productivity and efficiency
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Participate in team meetings and apply decisions effectively
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and quality standards
- Support lean manufacturing practices and participate in Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in machine tool assembly
- OR 5 years in manufacturing, maintenance, or machine tool part servicing
- Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics
- Familiar with documentation and part lists
- Ability to use precision measuring tools
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive tasks
- Basic computer literacy preferred
- Experience with electrical wiring assembly is a plus
- Forklift license is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required
