Now Hiring: Entry Level Building Maintenance Technician – Condo Complex
Location: 988 Halekauwila St, Honolulu, HI 96814, United States
Pay Rate: $18/hour

We are seeking a reliable , full time, and hard-working Building Maintenance Technician to join our condo complex team in Honolulu. This position offers a stable schedule with Saturday off and flexibility to take either Tuesday or Wednesday off.

Schedule:

• Monday: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
• Tuesday: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm (Option to take off – choose Tuesday or Wednesday as your weekly day off)
• Wednesday: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm (Option to take off – choose Tuesday or Wednesday as your weekly day off)
• Thursday: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
• Friday: 3:30 pm – 11:30 pm
• Saturday: Off
• Sunday: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm

Physical, Mental, and Communication Demands:

• Require frequent walking and bending, as well as lifting and handling up to 50 pounds
• Require basic reading, writing, and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to stoop, bend, sit, and stand daily; required to lift or move heavy objects, equipment, and machinery as part of job duties
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English to communicate effectively with owners, guests, rental agents, and other staff

Duties:

• Maintain building-related facilities, such as amenity rooms, sky deck, parking garage, sky lanais, Association offices, Association break rooms, storage, etc.
• Perform proper repair work on all common areas and amenities
• Duties may include painting, drywall repairs, tiling, plumbing, carpentry, replacing lights, basic electrical work, and preventative checks
• Possess fundamental knowledge of building functions and various systems
• Handle minor housekeeping and ground keeping tasks
• Service and maintain BBQ grill equipment and monitor for proper operation
• Repair and service common area plumbing equipment and devices
• Perform carpentry, masonry, and spall repairs as needed or directed
• Service trash compactor equipment and facility as required
• Perform other duties as directed by Maintenance Lead
