Kelly is partnering with a leading biotechnology company to hire a Facilities Maintenance Technician. This pioneering organization specializes in advanced gene-editing technologies that accelerate natural plant breeding processes. We are currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team in Roseville, MN. This dynamic role involves maintaining biotechnology laboratories, greenhouses, and warehouse facilities. The ideal candidate is reliable, proactive, and collaborative with a focus on quality craftsmanship and safety.

Position Type: Temp to Hire
Hourly Range: $24.00 - $30.00

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to and enforce company safety policies to ensure a secure work environment.
  • Respond promptly to work order requests and document progress using CMMS software.
  • Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment; diagnose and address potential issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and minor electrical work.
  • Coordinate and oversee service contractors to ensure quality results and safe practices.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Accounting to source parts, create purchase orders, and verify deliveries.
  • Partner with all departments to maintain a safe and functional work environment.
Requirements:
  • Strong customer-focused approach with a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Experience with hand and power tools for various trades, including plumbing, mechanical repairs, HVAC, electrical work, painting, and door/lock maintenance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering teamwork and inclusivity.
  • Flexibility to work off-hours and respond to facility or security emergencies during assigned "on-call" periods.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including email, word processors, and spreadsheets. Experience with CMMS, building management systems, and security systems is a plus.
  • Active First Aid/CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain it.
  • Demonstrable commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma required; Trade School or Apprenticeship Program certification is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Physical ability to work in demanding environments, including standing, tight spaces, heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
