We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of building maintenance, repairs, and improvements. This leadership role requires hands-on involvement as well as managing staff, coordinating contractors, and ensuring smooth, efficient operations across the facility.
Location: Plymouth, MN
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $43-58, based on experience,
Schedule: 1st Shift, 7am-4pm/8am-5pm

- Lead and supervise maintenance staff, ensuring timely starts, clear communication of priorities, and effective execution of tasks.
- Manage daily opening and closing procedures, including security, machinery, and lighting systems.
- Develop and standardize a robust preventative maintenance program tailored to production assets.
- Provide hands-on support for troubleshooting and follow-up on corrective actions.
- Conduct timely performance reviews for maintenance staff.
- Research, recommend, and implement process improvements to simplify and enhance maintenance tasks.
- Source and oversee external contractors for specialized repairs or projects as needed.
- 10+ years of related experience in maintenance or industrial environments.
- Must have experience working in Steel Industry
- Strong knowledge of hand tools, welding tools, and mechanical systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers, solid-state motor drives, overhead cranes, and hydraulic circuits.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with MIS systems preferred.
- Strong mathematical and precision instrumentation skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems, MP2 maintenance software, and 5S methodology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
