Description

Manufacturing Engineering Technician  

  • Location: ONSITE – Ladson, SC (29456)
  • Duration: 12+ months – (Internal Hire Expectation)
  • Type: W2 contract (Third-party or C2C "Corp-to-Corp" arrangements WILL NOT be considered for this role)
  • Pay: Negotiable depending on direct-related experience up to $35-$39 an hour
  • Work Authorization: Must be currently in the United States with active employment authorization documents. Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position.

 

This role is supporting Manufacturing Engineers that work on New Product Development at our Charleston Turbo Plant, in the Assembly and Test Area of the Site.

 

Work will include:
  • Supporting new equipment installations, modifying existing assembly stations, troubleshooting assembly cells (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and tooling / fixturing)
  • Supporting Engineering Trial Builds on Assembly Line and preparing these lines for new products.
  • Work closely with Plant TPM, Prototype Shop, External Suppliers for tooling designs, & outsourced components.
  • Support Capital Project Management across Assembly & Test Area.
  • Training associates on new workstations or modified stations.
  • Updated Control documents and Station Documentations.
  • Independent Self-Starter – fast learner that can quickly learn our SAMS Integration/ Interface System
  • Medium level of electrical and controls ability – input / output program for stations. Troubleshooting.
  • Because of Assembly Line availability to do Upfits / New Program Installations – most of the upfits happen when lines are available on weekends and during Holiday Outages. Role requires this work schedule flexibility.
  • Ability to work with High Tech Systems and Automation on our lines – vision system, laser systems, torque tools, falsifying technology, and Robots / Cobos

 

Required Experience:
  • Relevant work experience as Mechatronics Technician in high volume assembly process.
  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills – ability to work with State-of-the-Art Technology on our Assembly Lines
  • Team Player, Fast Learner, Self-Starter Technician - Track Record of success.
