Job Title: MP&L Material Planner / Specialist
Statesboro, Ga 
$18.00 
7:00am-3:30pm Position Summary: The MP&L Material Planner/Specialist is responsible for meeting corporate material needs by analyzing, planning, and executing material procurement activities. This position manages and coordinates material planning and logistics from external suppliers and plays a key role in maintaining optimal inventory levels for seamless production. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Review material usage with engineering bill of materials and customer forecasts.
  • Release material shipping orders to suppliers.
  • Build expedite lists and arrange premium freight (e.g., air freight, team trucking) for urgent parts.
  • Analyze root causes of material expedite issues and related costs.
  • Review and evaluate material requirements, cycle counts, and inventory forecasts.
  • Evaluate and resolve daily material receipt discrepancies.
  • Manage consignment parts inventory, logistics, and sales orders.
  • Oversee logistics for importing containers from overseas.
  • Manage outside warehouse inventory and delivery.
  • Build and oversee incoming container delivery schedules.
  • Design and manage forecasts for material usage to optimize inventory and reduce costs.
  • Support and participate in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Production & Inventory Control, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 0–3 years of experience in materials planning or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and perform in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Korean bilingual preferred (certain functions may require communication with Korean suppliers and corporate staff).
Supervisory Responsibility: None Work Environment:
  • Primary office setting.
  • Occasional work in plant environment with temperature fluctuations, bright lights, and noise exposure.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to reach overhead, bend, stoop, and maintain focus for extended periods.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
