Job Summary Are you a talented Mechanical Engineer with a strong foundation in basic engineering principles? Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Engineer II, where you will support Research & Development activities with minimal guidance and potentially lead projects based on complexity and availability.   • Design Support:
  • Assist senior engineers with detailing drawings and preliminary designs.
  • Provide creative solutions for R&D design activities and developments as assigned.
  • Construct bill of materials in CAD/ERP systems.
  • Testing and Trials:
  • Support offsite tests and trials domestically and internationally.
  • Write and facilitate test plans, interpret data, and draw sound conclusions.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with senior engineers and management, following their instructions.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and provide technical support.
  • Project Management:
  • Lead certain projects based on complexity and availability.
  • Document workflow and design history, and present updates to management.
  • Mentorship:
  • Review work performed by junior engineers and offer constructive feedback. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
    • Engineering Principles:
    • Strong knowledge of GD&T principles and understanding of material properties.
    • Basic understanding of finite element principles and design configurations.
  • Technical Skills:
  • 2-5 years of experience with CAD software (Solidworks preferred), PDM systems, and experience with DFM and DFMEA analysis.
  • Advanced data analysis skills using Excel or Minitab.
  • Experience in manufacturing or product development environments.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of Six Sigma principles.
  • Able to obtain a passport and travel both domestically and internationally.
