Job Opening: Mechanical Designer
Location: Onsite in Oshkosh, WI (Must be a US citizen)
Duration: 6+ months (high likelihood of extension in 6-month intervals)

We are looking for a talented and dedicated Designer to join our dynamic team at an industry-leading automotive parts company. Summary:
As a Designer, you will design, modify, and improve components and assemblies, focusing on powertrain systems. You will play a crucial role in supporting overall vehicle design, ensuring that all designs meet customer requirements and adhere to engineering standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare design layouts, diagrams, bills of material, and drawings/schematics of components and assemblies with supporting calculations (weight, tolerancing, etc.).
  2. Create and revise drawings, perform analysis, and provide manufacturing support.
  3. Design vehicle components to meet customer requirements.
  4. Enforce the proper use of engineering criteria and drawing standards, resolving technical issues within company policies.
  5. Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues.
  6. Select parts/design components with a focus on compliant and cost/quality-conscious design.
  7. Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot, and production support.
  8. Perform job duties in an ethical, professional manner.
  9. Conduct duties consistent with the company's mission statement, quality objectives, and defined policies and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent field.
  • Experience with CATIA or Creo CAD software.
  • Must meet ITAR requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Windchill PDM software.
  • Experience with high-volume automotive design.
  • Knowledge of powertrain systems (intake, exhaust, engine, driveline, cooling, etc.).
