Medical Device Production Technician
Location: Austell, GA 30168
Pay Rate: $22/hour
Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4/10s (Optional OT on Fridays or Mon–Fri 8s)
Contract: 6 months with potential to extend or convert
 
Overview:
We are seeking a Medical Device Production Technician for a contract opportunity at our Austell, GA facility. In this role, you will perform a variety of service and production activities to support life-saving medical devices—used to help newborns breathe safely and effectively. This position offers the opportunity to work in a GMP/GDP/GLP-regulated environment within a collaborative, fast-paced production team. Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily service operations including intake, calibration, final testing, and packaging of medical devices.
  • Complete Level 1 work orders according to defined SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Maintain documentation accuracy using GDP (Good Documentation Practices) in compliance with GMP and GLP standards.
  • Support inventory management through material movements and monthly cycle counts.
  • Keep the service room organized, cleaned, and properly staged for next-day operations.
  • Identify and report nonconformances to management promptly.
  • Participate in training, following OJT (On-the-Job Training) processes and ensuring SOP compliance.
  • Cross-train on related technical processes to expand capability and support team needs.
  • Follow all safety protocols to maintain a compliant and secure work environment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability efforts within the operations team.
 
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical or associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months–1 year of GMP/GDP/GLP experience (biopharma, device, or regulated manufacturing preferred).
  • Proven ability to follow detailed SOPs and documentation standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and data integrity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptable self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic troubleshooting or soldering skills are a plus.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, accuracy, and compliance.
