I. Job Summary Coordinates and monitors the general functioning of the incoming and product release areas through the distribution of tasks among inspectors. Executes/reviews the data and documentation associated with inspections. Performs all functions related to the inspection of raw materials, in process product and/or finished goods and ensures conformance with established standards. Follows standard operating procedures (SOP's) under good manufacturing and Laboratory practices (GMPs, GLP's). Conducts preliminary evaluations and investigation responses to out-of-bounds results and historical data reports. Reviews related data to verify methods, transfers and provide support during qualifications for equipment, instruments, process validations and facilities. Provides management service to systems of acquisition of chromatographic data.
Minimum education required for competent performance:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Microbiology
- Two years' experience in a desired medical and / or pharmaceutical device company.
- Knowledge in Quality regulations and standards affecting chemical, biological or medical devices (i.e. Quality System, FDA regulations, and ISO 13485), knowledge of the corporation, premises, state, and OSHA regulations
- Certification required by the position
- Ability to interpret drawings and diagrams.
- Availability of working rotating shifts and flexibility on schedule.
- Ability to carry out administrative or documentation work
- Basic math skills.
- Basic knowledge in statistics is desired.
- Ability to fluently read, write and speak English and Spanish.
- Basic knowledge in computerized systems.
