Description

Kelly Science has an immediate opening for a Microbiologist – Aseptic Sampling Project (12 Weeks project) for our client in Cincinnati, OH
 $25–$30/hour | 40 hours/week | 12-week contract
Immediate Start

Join a high-impact project at the intersection of quality and safety.
We are seeking a dedicated Microbiologist (or recent science graduate) to support a critical 12-week quality assurance initiative. This role focuses exclusively on aseptic sampling of product batches—helping to identify and prevent microbial issues in production.

While short-term, this project offers valuable, hands-on industry experience in a regulated environment with potential to build your microbiology skillset in a real-world application.

What You'll Do:
  • Perform aseptic sampling of current and recent production batches.

  • Follow strict aseptic technique protocols to ensure integrity and validity of all collected samples.

  • Work closely with the in-house microbiology team (who will handle all testing and analysis).

  • Accurately document and label samples for traceability and quality control compliance.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.

What We're Looking For:
  • Experience in aseptic technique—this is the #1 priority. Whether from academic labs, internships, or industry, you must be able to consistently pull clean, contamination-free samples.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures exactly.

  • Comfortable working independently in a production/lab setting.

  • Willingness to commit to a full 40-hour work week for the full 12-week duration.

Ideal Candidate Background:
  • Recent grads in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life science are encouraged to apply.

  • Also suitable for professionals with prior microbiology, lab, or QA experience.

  • No testing or analysis responsibilities required—just strong sampling skills.
