Description

Our client is a globally recognized provider of high-quality turnkey aluminum and zinc die casting solutions for the automotive, military, and consumer goods industries.

Currently seeking a skilled Mold Set-up Technician to join the innovative team. This critical role is responsible for tooling maintenance, die repair, and related activities to support ongoing production and quality objectives.

Full-Time | Temp to Hire
Pay Rate: $21hr, 1st Shift
Sunday-Thursday, 7am-3pm



Responsibilities:

  • Experience operating and setting up plastic and rubber/silicone molding machines.
  • Disassemble, clean, and re-assemble complex molds.
  • Convert and change over mold components to support production requirements.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, regular repairs, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Work on various projects within a tool room environment.
  • Execute machining and assembly operations to repair, modify, and maintain dies.
Requirements:
  • Mechanical aptitude is essential.
  • Experience and proficiency with hand and air tools.
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate traditional tool room equipment (lathes, grinders, etc.).
  • Previous experience in die/mold repair, disassembling/assembling dies/molds, and tool room machining is preferred, but mechanical aptitude will be considered a priority.
  • Must be able to perform a full range of body motions, including bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, and wrist action.
  • Heavy lifting is required; assistance and mechanical devices are available for objects over 50 pounds.
