Now Hiring: Mold Setter Technician (Machine Operator)

Location: Thomaston, CT
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday
Pay Rate: $26/hour
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Mold Setter Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a well-established manufacturing company in the Thomaston, CT area. This role is essential to maintaining production efficiency by setting up, optimizing, and maintaining injection molding equipment.

Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and previous mold-setting experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, clean, and optimize injection molding machines and molds

• Maintain production quality and efficiency standards

• Troubleshoot and resolve machine and mold issues

• Document production and quality assurance data

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment

• Assist with equipment changeovers and support equipment

• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 3–5 years of direct mold setting or injection molding experience

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Familiarity with polypropylene, polyethylene, and acetyl resins

• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently

• Solid verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

• Technical training or certification

• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs

• Standing, walking, bending, climbing, and crouching throughout the shift

• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the production floor

• Reasonable accommodations provided as needed

Position Benefits
