Salary and Schedule:
1st shift: 8 hour shift Monday through Friday ( must have some flexibility to work overtime occasionally)
Pay: $25/hr
What's a typical day as an Operations Technician? You'll be:
- Responsible for loading/unloading rail cars: working with chemicals
- Applying the Hazardous Work Permit (HWP) process, Lock Out, Tag Out (LOTO) and energy isolation procedures
- Maintaining site security and orderliness
- Utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP)
- Assisting with shutdowns, start-ups, and production slate changes
- Filling Liquid CO2 Trailers and Railcars
- Troubleshooting process problems to identify equipment requiring maintenance
- Performing water treatment tasks
- Completing all training activities according to schedule and meeting annual performance goals
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have experience in an industrial plant in the operations or maintenance department (preferred)
• Are able to do bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing ladders, and lifting activities, as well as carry loads up to 50 pounds
• Have basic math skills and computer proficiency
• Are able to work with simple mechanic's hand tools
• Have personal computer proficiency (Internet, word processing, spreadsheets) and experience with other software used by the company
• Have a basic understanding of pneumatically actuated valves and control systems
• Are capable of operating a forklift, overhead crane, and/or man lift
