Kelly Services is hiring!
Reporting to the Manager, Compensation & Benefits, the Compensation and Benefits Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the administration and execution of compensation and benefit programs. This position is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of compensation and benefits services while assisting with the management of the Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). The Compensation and Benefits Specialist will collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with policies and regulations and to support the overall HR strategy of attracting and retaining top talent.

Please note: this is a 10 week assignment with the possibility of an extension or conversion- for the right candidate this could be a permanent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Compensation and Benefits Administration:
  2. Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring timely processing of payroll and employee benefits.
  3. Support the development and implementation of compensation strategies and benefits plans that align with the organization's goals.
  4. Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitiveness in compensation packages and benefits offerings.
  5. Monitor benefits usage and trends, providing recommendations for plan improvements as needed.
  6. HRIS Support:
  7. Assist in the maintenance and management of the HRIS to ensure data integrity and accurate reporting.
  8. Help develop and produce standard and ad-hoc reports related to compensation, benefits, and employee data.
  9. Support the implementation of system upgrades and enhancements, ensuring alignment with HR needs.
  10. Financial Planning and Reporting:
  11. Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the compensation and benefits budget.
  12. Support quarterly financial reporting and analysis related to compensation and benefits expenditures.
  13. Help ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies regarding payroll and benefits administration.
  14. Employee Communication and Support:
  15. Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding compensation and benefits, providing timely and accurate information.
  16. Assist in the development of communication materials related to compensation and benefits programs to enhance employee understanding and engagement.
  17. Team Collaboration:
  18. Work collaboratively with HR team members to develop and implement HR policies and procedures that promote fairness and transparency.
  19. Participate in team meetings to contribute to strategic discussions and initiatives related to compensation and benefits.
Qualifications:
  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of compensation and benefits principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and payroll processing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
