Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Operations Specialist I to support U.S. payroll operations. This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience working with SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP), ADP, and UKG Time & Attendance systems and will collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams to maintain data integrity and enhance payroll processes.
This is a hybrid role based in Reading, PA, with three days in the office and remote work on Mondays and Fridays.
Responsibilities
Payroll Processing
- Load pay files, process mass employee changes, and submit payroll for approval
- Review payroll previews and final reports for accuracy
- Perform quarterly reporting checks
- Coordinate payroll updates with vendor and collaborate with HR teams on system changes and testing
- Conduct routine audits of SAP ECP and UKG/Kronos systems to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Serve as the primary point of contact for local HR Business Partners and employees regarding payroll inquiries
- Provide guidance on payroll policies, pay schedules, and timekeeping issues
- Validate and reconcile data between SAP ECP, ADP, LiNK, and UKG systems
- Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements
- Support compliance configuration with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Generate and analyze payroll and time reports from SAP ECP, UKG/Kronos, ADP, and LiNK
- Support compliance reporting, audits, ad hoc requests, and state-required reporting
- Support year-end payroll tasks including W-2 preparation, reconciliations, and corrections
- Serve as central point of contact for Wage Garnishments and coordinate with third-party vendor
- Maintain and update payroll process documentation
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or at least 5 years of relevant payroll experience
- Solid experience with payroll systems
- Minimum 2 years of experience with a Time & Attendance cloud platform
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of HR regulations and federal/state employment law
- Experience with SAP Cloud applications
- Knowledge of ADP Payroll
- Knowledge of Kronos/UKG Time & Attendance
- Experience with SAP Employee Central Payroll
