Kelly® Professional & Industrial is seeking a Printing Press Operator - Night Shift to work at a confidential client in Canaan, Connecticut. Sound like something you're interested in? Pay Rate: $28 - $32/h Plus A 6% Shift Differential
Hours: Monday-Friday 11am-7:30am

What's a typical day as a Printing Press Operator - Night Shift? You'll be:
- Operating flexographic printing equipment to manufacture required graphics on paper and film substrates
- Checking quality and correctness of printing mats, aligning, and affixing them to printing sleeves or mandrels
- Inspecting raw materials to ensure the correct web stock and ink are used
- Placing rolls of web material stock on the press and checking for correctness
- Performing cleanup and preventative maintenance of printing and slitting equipment
- Making repairs and assisting with major repairs on printing and slitting equipment
- Performing inventory control and recording of printing inks, printing mats, and paper stock
- Setting up and processing web materials on web label slitting equipment as necessary
- Maintaining a clean work area to meet GMP requirements
- Reporting production and waste according to the latest accounting methods
- Completing all material transfers between departments
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Are organized and self-directed with press experience (flexo preferred, offset press acceptable)
- Have experience with Markandy P7 press equipment (preferred)
- Possess manufacturing experience, ideally in FDA regulated and ISO certified facilities
- Have knowledge in label printing with water-based or UV cured inks (a plus)
- Are able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a low defect rate
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Have required printing press experience
