Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: 100K or above, based on expereince 
Schedule: 7am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday

The Production Manager is a key member of the Operations leadership team responsible for overseeing all daily production activities, including batch processing, bottling, packaging, and related support functions. This role ensures that production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory and quality standards. The Production Manager leads a team of supervisors and operators and works cross-functionally with Planning, Quality Control, Research & Development, Safety, and Maintenance teams to drive operational excellence and foster a culture of accountability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all production activities, including batch manufacturing, bottling, and packaging, to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, GMP, ISO).
  • Supervise and develop a team of production supervisors, operators, and technicians, promoting a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with Planning to ensure efficient scheduling and resource utilization to meet customer demand.
  • Maintain synergy with R&D to safeguard the chemical batch mixing process, ensuring mixing guides are executed as developed.
  • Work closely with Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime.
  • Partner with Quality Control to uphold product integrity and resolve any quality-related issues.
  • Monitor and report on key production metrics (e.g., yield, efficiency, utilization, downtime, scrap, safety incidents).
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to reduce waste and improve throughput.
  • Support capital projects and equipment upgrades to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
  • Foster a clean, organized, and compliant working environment in line with 5S and EHS principles.

Production Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical or process industry.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of batch chemical processing and packaging operations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive change, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proficient in manufacturing systems and tools (e.g., ERP, MES, Microsoft Office, Lean/Six Sigma).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Position is based on-site at the Plainfield, IN manufacturing facility.
  • Regular presence on the production floor is required.
  • Occasional off-hours may be required.
  • Exposure to a chemical manufacturing environment, including warehouse and production areas.
