Job Title: Temporary Production Operator

Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Temporary Production Operator in the Advanced Materials Division located in East Lansing, MI! In this role, you will play a crucial part in the manufacturing of epoxy and polyurethane formulations used in aerospace, electronics, and tooling industries. Your expertise in safely handling chemicals and processing equipment will be key as you follow precise instructions and adhere to safety protocols. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for quality and teamwork!

Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Temporary
- Location 1st

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Safely handle chemicals and chemical processing equipment (vessels, mixers, reactors, dischargers, etc.)
- Follow instructions precisely as written and verbally, adhering to all safety precautions and PPE requirements
- Maintain good housekeeping standards and demonstrate a strong motivation for high-quality work
- Utilize basic mathematics and science/engineering knowledge in daily tasks
- Operate forklifts and physically handle drums as needed
- Fill containers and clean equipment and tools regularly
- Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, completing tasks assigned by Supervisor/Lead Operator
- Assist other employees in achieving Huntsman company goals
- Participate in and complete company-required training programs
- Engage in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives set forth by the company

Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably in a chemical formulation plant
- Very good communication skills for interfacing with various departments and contractors
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and set priorities effectively
- Proven understanding of day-to-day business activities, reporting, and operations
- Computer literacy and ability to work well in a team setting
- Clear communication skills with line supervisors and management
