This is a direct hire Production Supervisor position, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their competitive benefit and vacation package upon hire.

Details:
• Monday – Friday 6:00am-3:30pm, overtime hours on Saturday voluntary/rotating
• $60,000-75,000 based on skills and experience
• Grand Rapids, MI
Position Information:
• Implement and oversee production plans, including scheduling, labor, and material requirements
• Incorporate remakes and rush orders into the production schedule
• Ensure volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are met
• Monitor production processes and personnel to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently while meeting quality standards
• Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes
• Coordinate and assign tasks to the production team
• Train new employees and provide ongoing training for existing staff, including conducting employee reviews at 30, 60, and 90 days
• Resolve issues and disputes between team members, observe interactions to promote teamwork, translate Spanish/English as needed, and ensure efficient collaboration and coordination across departments, shifts, and management.
• Oversee operations of the production area, directly supervise the production team, and ensure Standard Operating Procedures are followed
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and coordinate with maintenance staff for necessary repairs and services
• Set objectives, communicate areas for improvement, attend daily production meetings, and ensure compliance with quality control and safety standards
Requirements:
• 5+ years of production/manufacturing supervisory experience
• Proven hands-on leadership experience with a significant portion of time dedicated to working on the production floor alongside employees
• Bi-lingual: Spanish is helpful but not required
• Proven ability to manage and lead a team of production operators
• Experience with quality control procedures and standards
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations
