Description

Our client is a leading industry manufacturer, offering innovative solutions and services across various sectors. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manufacturing Manager to oversee operations for an entire manufacturing/assembly department.

Powder Line Supervisor to oversee our powder coating line operations at our Charleston, SC facility. In this role, you will ensure production efficiency, adherence to safety and quality standards, and lead a motivated team with hands-on supervision and direction.

Pay Rate: $110-115K, based on Experience
1st Shift,   6 am-2:30 pm, Monday-Friday
2nd Shift, 2 pm-11:30 pm, Monday-Friday

  Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise a variety of assembly operations for sub-assemblies and finished products
  • Oversee powder coating processes and ensure optimal quality
  • Manage the electrical and mechanical assembly of parts and components
  • Review and improve assembly procedures for greater quality and efficiency
  • Schedule assignments and act as a technical resource to Production Floor staff
  • Train new employees and evaluate team performance
  • Conduct quality and time studies; produce individual quality reports
  • Input data into production quality database
  • Verify documentation such as production drawings, BOMs, and work order travelers
  • Perform assembly operations on electronic/mechanical assemblies, including modules, boards, panels, and cables
  • Take responsibility for job-related quality and address quality issues at any level

Job Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Minimum three years' experience in assembly and manufacturing operations
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Ability to effectively train and collaborate with team members
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Physical Demands
  • Frequently required to stand; use hands to handle objects, tools, keyboards, or controls; reach with arms; communicate clearly
  • Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
