The Kelly® Professional & Industrial team is looking for Production Support to join a growing client in Mt. Vernon, IN!


Position: Production Support
Location: Vernon, IN 47620 
Pay Rate: $18/hr 
Shift: 10hr shifts – Monday thru Saturday
Duration: Temporary

Job Summary 
As a Production Support you will ensure the safety of work areas where hot work (such as welding or cutting) is performed. You'll monitor for fire hazards and be responsible for preventing and addressing any fire risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Watch for fire hazards during hot work activities like welding or cutting. 
• Ensure fire extinguishers and hoses are available and functional. 
• Put out small fires and report larger ones to emergency services. 
• Regularly check for fire risks and ensure safety protocols are followed. 
• Keep escape routes and emergency equipment clear. 
• After work, continue to watch the area for any lingering fire risks. 
• Document and report any incidents or safety concerns. 
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies. 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of fire safety and fire equipment. 
• Attention to detail and ability to act quickly in emergencies. 
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards. 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods. 
• Ability to lift fire equipment (up to 50 lbs). 
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
