Schedule: 1-5 hours a month/On-call, as needed for guidance and advice
Employment Type: 1 year-Contract/Part-Time What's a typical month as a Program Strategist Specialist? You will:
- Oversee and provide expert guidance on special education programming for eligible patients under age 22.
- Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate special education services to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements, including IDEA.
- Review patient records, conduct interviews, and assess educational needs.
- Develop and document Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and curriculum for qualifying patients.
- Support and advise teaching staff, participate in treatment planning, and maintain required records and reports.
- Ensure all educational activities align with state and federal laws and best practices.
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification (required)
- Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field (required)
- Substantial experience in special education, ideally in a hospital or psychiatric setting
- Expertise in IEP development, education law, and curriculum planning
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Commitment to providing guidance and support as needed
