Direct Hire

The Project Manager is in charge for the successful implementation of a specific project. He/she will work closely with all team members to ensure, that project requirements, deadlines and schedules are always on track. Overall responsibilities are planning, budgeting, resource allocation as well as project risk management and project team leadership.

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing major/complex projects and leading various disciplines in executing the required deliverables under a highly regulatory/GMP environment. It is expected that these projects require discipline leaders and multiple team interfaces. The ability to interact with customers, internal stakeholders and cross-functional team leads from project initiation through the entire design and development process is a must.
 

  • Lead the design and development of complex mechanical medical devices and equipment
  • Maintain project oversight over all disciplines. Ensure individual discipline leaders are aware of customer's overall objectives and their responsibilities to the specific project. Escalate any issues as appropriate to higher level management 
  • Understanding Voice of the Customer and User Needs
  • Ability to interact with customers, internal stakeholders and cross-functional team leads from project initiation through the entire design and development process
  • Define project scope, objectives and major milestones in alignment with sponsor and internal program and product managers.
  • Forecast resources needed to reach objectives; assemble a Project Team with the appropriate range of skills and experience and make sure that all members have the prerequisites to optimally perform their tasks.
  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements and track project costs in order to meet budget
  • Work with the Project Team to develop a detailed project schedule and work plan.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the project
  • Monitor project performance to identify areas for improvement and adjust as needed
  • Perform project risk management to minimize project risks and escalate identified risks at an early stage
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs and ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on planned changes
  • Organize and lead regular project team meeting to exchange on current project status, to discuss current issues and possible solutions and to agree on further actions
  • Provide project updates on a regular basis to various stakeholders about deliverables, required adjustments, and overall progress

Preferred Experience:
  • PMP Certification is a plus
  • 5 years' experience in project management
  • Experience with a variety of manufacturing processes, including injection molding of plastics, machining methods, rapid prototyping techniques, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
