Lab Tech

Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Laboratory Technician – QC Laboratory Chemist for a 1-year contract position at a cutting-edge client in Long Beach, CA. Pay: $25/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday. Flexible to work overtime on weekends as needed.
Overview
This client is an industry-leading company that's leading the way in chemical manufacturing and innovation. In this role, you will be responsible for running the day-to-day activities within the Quality Control Lab. You will perform analytical testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods to ensure they meet product specifications, while maintaining high integrity in following procedures and documenting results.
Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine analysis of all products and raw materials following established analytical test methods.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of all testing and results in QC Lab Analytical Sheets and LIMS.
  • Calibrate and maintain test equipment as scheduled.
  • Support production efforts including labeling, controlled distribution of tank keys, and front desk operations.
  • Identify and communicate atypical test results to senior staff.
  • Assist with solvent/sample disposal and restocking.
  • Complete all assigned training and follow SOPs, safety policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain lab cleanliness and adhere to health and safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma required; degree in a science-related field preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing, laboratory, research, or chemical plant environments preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, adapt to change, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and follow SOPs and write clearly and concisely.
