Kelly Science has an immediate need for a Quality Control Microbiologist to provides essential microbiological support across manufacturing and support activities. This role involves a wide range of tasks, including environmental monitoring, media fills, and microbiological and chemical sampling of utilities and services. This is a contract role that is expected to go through the end of April.
Location: Plantation FL
Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Hourly Pay Rate: $27-$35
Specific Duties:
- Execute microbiological techniques such as Bioburden testing, Sterility testing, Endotoxin testing, TOC, Water Testing, Environmental Monitoring, Growth Promotion, and visual inspections.
- Develop and revise departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain and update the quarterly report for the Microbiology lab, documenting all Alerts, Actions, and Out of Specification (OOS) results.
- Lead investigations into OOS microbiological testing results and other laboratory non-conformances.
- Prepare deviations, investigations, OOS reports, change controls, work orders, and test reports.
- Maintain, track, and analyze microbiological results, trends, and metrics on an ad hoc and scheduled basis.
- Stay current with compendia and industry standards to ensure procedures and processes are up-to-date.
- Keep abreast of FDA, EMA, and other CGMP standards and industry trends.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an FDA/EMA regulated environment.
- Demonstrated excellent writing skills, judgment, integrity, and independent work capability.
- Proficiency in microbiological testing and data analysis.
