Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $20 per hour, Monday-Friday.

What's a typical day as a Quality Assurance Technician? You'll be:
• Performing pre-operation inspections at the start of production.
• Verifying cleaning and sanitation of production equipment.
• Performing line clearance and change-over inspections.
• Collecting samples at various stages of processing.
• Monitoring sample products at various stages of processing, including Brix, pH test, and water activity.
• Monitoring Batch Sheets, Upstream Product Testing, Flow rate sheet, Downstream Product Testing, Display and Master Case Check, CCP for accuracy and completion.
• Examining finished products by sight, taste, and weight to ensure conformance to company and legal standards.
• Monitoring routine checks for product packaging quality, including date codes, film seal, and palletizing formation.
• Setting up and monitoring challenge of metal detector and x-ray machines.
• Calibrating equipment daily, including pH meter, refractometer, water activity meter, and table scales.
• Entering data in the QC daily workbooks daily.
• Adhering to all Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety Policies.
• Being responsible for Food Safety and reporting any non-compliance issues to their immediate supervisor.
• Monitoring Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Assisting in the training of new employees.
• Performing weekly verification of temperature in coolers and change out graph.
• Performing internal QC audits.
• Signing off on positive release of finished goods.
• Assisting production where required.
• Demonstrating strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have previous QC or manufacturing experience.
• Have good verbal, written, and multi-tasking skills.
• Have the ability to use critical thinking to plan and problem-solve.
• Are available to work rotating shifts: days, afternoons, nights.
• Are available to work occasional weekends.
• Can lift approximately 30 lbs.
• Can stand/walk for the majority of the shift.
• Are comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
