Quality Assurance Manager

Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a QA Technical Manager for a contract-to-hire position at a cutting-edge client in San Fernando, CA. Pay: $90,000–$100,000
Schedule: Full-time, onsite Overview
This client is an industry-leading company that's driving innovation in food manufacturing and flavor development. As a QA Technical Manager, you will lead quality assurance initiatives, support compliance efforts, and drive continuous improvement across QA systems and processes. Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary QA information resource for internal and external clients.
  • Support the creation, execution, and maintenance of QA procedures.
  • Provide timely QA guidance and solutions to internal and external clients.
  • Investigate product quality and food-safety related inquiries.
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
  • Ensure QA practices comply with regulatory, GFSI, and customer requirements.
  • Provide QA support for external audits and inspections.
  • Oversee maintenance of approved specifications.
  • Lead and mentor assigned QA staff.
  • Create detailed reports and lead QA discussions.
  • Provide training to personnel as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a scientific field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years QA experience in food manufacturing.
  • HACCP certification.
  • PCQI certification.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret complex data.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Must be able to report to any company facility as needed, sometimes with same-day notice.
