Job Summary:

Seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manufacturing Quality Control Technician for Direct Hire with a client in Duffield, VA. This role involves inspecting materials and products, conducting tests, maintaining records, and working closely with production teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measurement instruments.
  • Review production documentation, including work orders, specifications, and inspection criteria.
  • Identify and report non-conformances, initiate corrective actions, and assist in root cause analysis.
  • Maintain accurate inspection and testing records, logs, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues and suggest improvements.
  • Support internal and external audits and inspections.
  • Monitor and calibrate inspection tools and testing equipment.
  • Follow safety and environmental protocols in the workplace.
 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a quality control or inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, GMP) and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Proficient in using measuring and testing equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management systems (QMS).
  • 5 % Travel 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift up to [25/50] pounds.
  • Manual dexterity for handling small components and precision instruments.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other quality improvement methodologies.
  • Previous experience in [industry type: automotive, electronics, medical devices, etc.].
