Description

 Kelly Services is seeking a Quality Assurance/Analyst for a premier client in Fenton OH.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of incoming parts from suppliers. You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to identify, address, and prevent quality issues.

1st shift 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with suppliers regarding incoming parts issues.
  • 70% office 30% Quality Inspecting
  • Evaluate part conformance by comparing measurements to specifications.
  • Initiate return of rejected parts to suppliers.
  • Issue supplier concerns and assess the effectiveness of their containment and corrective actions.
  • Track supplier quality concerns in the SupplyOn system until resolution.
  • Monitor supplier non-conforming cost of quality.
  • Issue and negotiate supplier chargebacks.
  • Assist quality staff with dispositioning non-conforming materials, including inspection, gaging, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineers to analyze supplier component quality issues.
  • Issue and assess annual revalidation PPAPs.
  • Issue and evaluate replacement tooling PPAPs.
  • Work with SDE to facilitate supplier launch requirements and ensure supplier compliance.
  • Oversee sorting or containment activities related to supplier components to prevent defects from exiting the plant or entering production processes.
  • Initiate required Safe launch activities during supplier changes.
  • Inspect supplied components for defects as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.
  • Flexibility with work hours.
  • Familiarity with basic manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Proficiency in using measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and microscopes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Robust analytical skills.
  • SAP
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Training will be provided for specific company software.
