We're seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to work at a premier food manufacturing organization in Pennsauken, NJ. With us, it's all about finding the job that's just right.

Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:

$75,000/year – $78,000/year plus relocation assistance

Shift:

3rd- Overnight- 6pm to 6am

What's a typical day as Quality Assurance Supervisor? You'll be:
  • Overseeing a team of QA analysts to maintain the highest standards of product quality and food safety across aseptic and hot fill lines
  • Ensuring validated procedures are executed for product sterility, food safety, and regulatory compliance (FSMA, HACCP, GMP, LACF, etc.)
  • Conducting root cause analyses and utilizing problem-solving techniques to resolve quality issues, including product holds and customer complaints
  • Tracking, reporting, and analyzing quality metrics to identify performance gaps and developing plans for process improvement
  • Partnering with Production, Sanitation, and Warehousing to ensure compliance with GMPs and preventive controls
  • Leading training sessions for team members on quality and food safety standards
  • Supporting audit readiness and performing internal audits for governmental and third-party inspections (SQF, FDA, etc.)
  • Managing non-conforming materials and ensuring proper segregation and disposition
  • Acting as the primary representative for QA lab equipment and plant calibration processes
  • Supervising and developing Quality Assurance staff in alignment with company policies and applicable laws
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, or Chemical Engineering (or possess relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Have 3-5 years of experience in food safety and quality within a manufacturing environment
  • Bring at least 1 year of prior supervisory experience in a quality-focused role
  • Possess experience in aseptic processing and packaging of low-acid, hermetically sealed foods (strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of 21 CFR Parts 113, 114, and 117, and have a strong understanding of quality systems and sanitation practices
  • Show effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent change-overs
