Job Title: Quality Manager
Duration: 6 months
Salary: $69 per hour

Department: Global Supply Team (GST)

Role Overview:

The GST QL is a key role within the Global Supply Team responsible for providing brand-aligned quality leadership across the end-to-end (E2E) supply chain throughout a brand's lifecycle as supply chain complexity increases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively across supply chain nodes and AZ Sites/Roles/Functions (e.g., PQL, GSC&S, GSM, Corporate Quality).
  • Brand Supply Chain Management: Manage multiple Brand Supply Chains and participate in more than one GST.
  • Change & Risk Management: Understand impact of change, mitigate risks, and respond to trends in quality and supply chain principles, while embracing Modern Quality Professional (MQP) elements.

Areas of Focus:

  1. Supply Chain Design:
  2. Accountable for quality evaluation of supply chain design.
  3. Develop quality elements of the supply chain and provide oversight to fulfill MAH responsibilities.
  4. Quality Leadership:
  5. Lead a brand quality network to ensure appropriate escalation and collaborative resolution of quality issues impacting supply.
  6. Support Issue Management Teams focusing on Brand Quality Impact.
  7. Brand Quality Risk:
  8. Facilitate E2E Brand Quality Risk review considering product performance and escalation into GST.
  9. Brand Change:
  10. Act as the Quality Approver on supply chain design changes and manage associated risks.
  11. Review portfolio changes with GST.
  12. Brand Health:
  13. Review Brand-specific Quality Metrics and share performance with GST.
  14. Alliance/Customer Quality Management:
  15. Serve as the key Quality Contact for customer organizations ensuring communication and issue resolution per established agreements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely and efficient Supply Chain quality aspects for NPI, BD, and Change projects.
  • Approve non-standard supply for the brand (routine SAOC, One-off Sales).
  • Create and maintain Quality flow for Supply Chain Maps and master data.
  • Build effective business relationships with Customers or Partners.
  • Accountable for Supply Chain QA decision-making.
  • Support Business Development activities via Due Diligence and Deal Processes.
  • Acquire process and product knowledge for supported products.
  • Lead escalated Quality issues and optimize solutions.
  • Provide Coaching and Mentoring on Quality Items.
  • Implement GST strategies and escalate Quality constraints/Risks.
  • Lead Quality and Compliance with internal and external Regulatory requirements.
  • Create and maintain Quality SOPs and QCMs.
  • Recommend regulatory compliance implementation strategies.
  • Manage Brand Quality Risk and mitigation strategies.
  • Report and trend Brand Quality metrics and KPIs.
  • Drive LEAN culture through Continuous Improvement.

Typical Accountabilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Company values and relevant codes of ethics.
  • Responsible for all Quality-related deliverables to GST.
  • Holistic understanding of supply chain design and management.
  • Conflict management and assertive decision-making.
  • Propose data-driven solutions to strategic initiatives.
  • Drive teams to identify true root cause and appropriate CAPA/risk management.
