Quality Technician (Billerica, MA)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (or as assigned)
Location: Cleanroom/manufacturing environment

Contract to Hire (Full-time, candidates only interested in Contract employment, this may not be the best role for you.  Team is motivated to convert to a direct role early 2026). First Interviews (Virtual) are being scheduled 12/26-12/29.  Target start date- 1/05/2026.

Hourly Rate: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour

Job Summary:
Supports inspection and quality control for semiconductor or precision manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include performing in-process and final inspections, verifying products against engineering specifications, documenting results, and reporting nonconformances. The role also involves maintaining compliance with quality standards, supporting audits, and contributing to continuous process improvement in a cleanroom environment.
Position is a Contract to Hire, client is only interested in candidates pursuing permanent employment.  Worried about medical? Don't worry, we got you!

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Inspects purchased or manufactured materials to ensure compliance with pre-determined specifications and quality requirements.  Inspects outgoing materials and/or assemblies to determine acceptability in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications or procedures.
Measures the accuracy of compound angles and numerous dimensions for fabricated parts in accordance with geometric tolerance requirements.
Interprets inspection requirements from blueprints/drawings, sketches and engineering specifications.
Indicates acceptance or rejection of material based on inspection procedure dimensions / requirements.
Maintains inspection records that are legible and easily retrievable according to documented procedures. Maintains and adheres to quality and safety policies & procedures.
Assists engineering, manufacturing, and customer personnel in the investigation, and verification of customer and/or process problems related to inspected materials

Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, trade school or apprentice program preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of assembly and/or inspection experience; experience in electro-mechanical assembly preferred.
3-5  years' experience performing product inspections utilizing magnified visual aids and /or mechanical measuring devices to ensure product conformance to internal and customer technical data package requirements.
Experience interpreting drawings, schematics and work instructions.
Solid technical ability, equipment set up, and troubleshooting skills.
Demonstrated understanding of quality control principles
Measure product dimensions using calipers, scales, test equipment and other measuring devices.

Nice to have:
Electro-Mechanical Expertise: Proficient in sub-assembly, wiring, and assembling electrical and mechanical components, including building test fixtures for PCBs and assembling core furnaces.
