Quality Technician – 2nd Shift
Location: Lima, NY 14485
Pay: $21–$23 per hour
Position Type: Professional | Full-Time | Second Shift
Are you detail-oriented, hands-on, and passionate about delivering high-quality products? We're looking for a dedicated Quality Technician to join our team on second shift. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring every product meets the highest standards before it reaches our customers. What You'll Do
As a Quality Technician, you will help ensure that every product leaving our facility meets form, fit, and functional requirements—free of defects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor overall product quality on a daily basis
- Perform in-process and final inspections using established inspection instructions, job travelers, and spec sheets
- Use a variety of measurement tools including tape measures, calipers, and specialized go/no-go gauges
- Apply subjective and objective quality assessment techniques
- Identify nonconforming products and notify appropriate personnel with clear written corrective actions
- Re-inspect products after repairs or rework are completed
- Input inspection and completion data into the computer system prior to shipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at the end of each shift
- Follow all established safety policies and procedures
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and company goals
- Collaborate with team members to enhance performance and service standards
- Provide excellent service to internal and external customers
What We're Looking For
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong math and reading comprehension skills
- Working knowledge of standard manufacturing inspection techniques
- Basic arithmetic skills including integers, decimals, and units of measure
- Comfortable working in both English (feet/inches) and Metric (meters, centimeters, millimeters) systems
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize product features and variations
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow structured problem-solving processes
- Team-oriented mindset
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Occasional overhead lifting
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- None required; continuing education and professional certifications are encouraged
