Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Quality Tech-Sample Management located in Rochester, MI.

Pay Rate: $21/hr

Shift: Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a one-hour lunch break.
Overtime: Overtime is currently optional and may include occasional weekend shifts (typically half-days on Saturdays or Sundays). Flex time is available during the week if a weekend shift is worked. While weekend work is optional for now, there is potential for it to become mandatory in the future.

Department: Quality / Sample Management Job Summary The Quality Technician – Sample Management is responsible for supporting the daily operations of sample logistics, reagent handling, documentation, and compliance audits. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of samples and materials, contributing to the overall efficiency and quality standards of the lab and materials department. Key Responsibilities Sample Logistics & Handling
- Receive and log samples and reagents into the system.
- Transfer samples to designated labs.
- Manage sample discards, staging, and SAP logging.
- Ship samples locally and internationally.
Inventory & Reagent Management
- Organize and maintain the stock room.
- Dispose of reagents monthly and perform bi-weekly checks.
- Receive trucks and update SharePoint records.
- Log reference standards and reagents.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate forms and filing systems.
- Conduct monthly audits (Safety, LUMAC, and Standard).
- Participate in Tier 1 meetings and continuous training. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a science-related field preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in a lab or quality environment.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar inventory/logging systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting. Preferred Skills - Experience with international shipping procedures.
- Knowledge of reagent handling and disposal protocols.
- Comfortable with documentation and audit processes. Work Schedule & Expectations - Daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities with flexibility for urgent sample needs, including weekends
- Occasional lifting and handling of lab materials.
