Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a R&D Technician (3 month contract) for a temporary opportunity with on of our biomanufacturing partners in the Kansas City area. Pay: $25/hour
Job Summary
This position provides hands-on support for vaccine development and licensure efforts, including label expansions and product enhancements. The role involves both laboratory and clinical tasks, all conducted in accordance with internal quality systems and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Support
- Conduct a variety of lab assays (e.g., microbiology, tissue culture, ELISA, Western blot, PCR) under supervision
- Assist in the execution and documentation of protocols for developing analytical assays
- Learn and apply new techniques as needed
- Record experimental data in spreadsheets for analysis
- Perform housekeeping and maintenance duties.
Clinical Support
- Assist in animal studies, including animal handling, sample collection and processing
- Enter data and help prepare documentation for clinical activities
- Must be comfortable working with research animals.
Operational & Communication
- Order supplies from approved vendors and communicate with suppliers as needed
- Coordinate with team members across departments to ensure project timelines are met
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed lab records and documentation
- Contribute to drafting or editing standard procedures, reports, and study protocols
- Support internal data presentations and updates using tools like PowerPoint

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related field
- Hands-on experience with aseptic technique, bacterial culture, and poultry handling preferred
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as PCR, ELISA, and Western blot is a plus
