Description

Kelly Science and Clinical is currently seeking candidates for a Scientist position at a Radiopharmaceutical manufacturing company south of Houston TX. This position will play a key role in the development, optimization, and production of radiopharmaceuticals, contributing to both research initiatives and clinical applications.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Perform synthesis, purification, and characterization of radiopharmaceutical compounds
  • Conduct and interpret analytical testing (HPLC, GC, TLC, spectroscopy) to assess the quality, purity, and stability of products
  • Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
  • Analyze data and prepare comprehensive reports and presentations detailing data driven conclusions
  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities to support the development and optimization of radiochemical processes for clinical and commercial use
  • Independently plan, execute, and document experiments ensuring alignment with research protocols and project timelines
  • Collaborate with teams in R&D, QA, production, and regulatory affairs to ensure project success and smooth technology transfer
  • Adhere to GLP, GMP, and radiation safety protocols while contributing to a culture of regulatory compliance
  • Provide training and technical support to junior team members
Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field is required
  • Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in radiochemistry, radiopharmaceuticals, or a related industry
  • Experience in radiochemical synthesis and handling of radioactive materials is preferred
  • Proficient in analytical techniques including HPLC, GC, TLC, and/or spectroscopy
  • Familiarity with GMP/GLP practices
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to safety
  • Excellent team collaboration and communication skills
